The almighty Irish girl group, B*Witched, announce the release of their highly anticipated first ever EP following their come-back success on The Big Reunion in 2012.
Set for release on 28 September, the EP, 'Champagne and Guinness', will be preceded by the band's new single, 'The Stars Are Ours', which will be unveiled on 21 September. And hot off the press: Edele Lynch has been confirmed as one of the stars going into this year's Celebrity Big Brother House, which is sure to send awareness of the band sky high.
And demand couldn't be hotter….the girls announced the recording of 'Champagne and Guinness' back in December 2013 via PledgeMusic, following a sell-out nationwide arena tour which came off the back of the TV show alongside Liberty X, Five and Atomic Kitten.
For those of you who need a reminder, B*Witched are twin sisters Edele & Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinead O'Carroll. Originally formed in 1997, the band had huge global success selling over 3 million album worldwide and notching up four No1 UK hits with their first four singles, 'C'est la Vie', 'Rollercoaster', 'To You I Belong' and 'Blame It On The Weatherman'. But heartbreaking shock hit the nation when the band's label dropped them suddenly in the height of their success.
2014 sees payback for B*Witched as they smash back with their stunning new single, 'The Stars Are Ours'. A strong, vibrant burst of pop energy, the track catapults the girls bang into a contemporary sound that traverses both club and radio, but with a fervent flavour of their Irish roots heavily entwined in the production – a hallmark B*Witched sound, but with a bang-up-to-the-minute feel.
Hot on it's heels follows the band's first ever EP, 'Champagne and Guinness' – a tip of the hat to their superstar life, which never forgets it's roots. A 6-track collection of all-new original songs, written and produced by the band themselves, cements the girls position in the market as a robust talent that's here to stay. Managed by Ten10 Management, B*Witched return sharper, wiser and more talented than ever before, ensuring that all areas of the musical process are held firmly in their grasp.
The title of their first track couldn't be more apt – 'The Stars Are Ours' and there's no stopping these girls now they're back!
