Bristol blues icon Beth Rowley is to release new single 'Sweet Hours' on August 11th.
Produced by Steve Power and jointly written by Beth and Ben Castle, 'Sweet Hours' is the third single to be taken from her top ten debut album 'Little Dreamer', out now on Blue Thumb / Universal.
The track itself is vintage, smoky blues – a laid back, gospel-tinged number that brings Beth's superb vocals to the fore. With its delicate piano and downbeat guitar, 'Sweet Hours' provides the perfect accompaniment for the soulful voice that belies Beth's tender years.
Currently approaching the end of a short UK tour, Beth plays a headline date at The Stables in Milton Keynes on June 19th before embarking on a succession of summer festival appearances. These include T In The Park (July 13th) Latitude (July 19th), and a homecoming gig at Bristol's Harbour festival on August 2nd.
Beth will also be performing live at the Edinburgh premier of 'The Edge Of Love', the new film starring Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller, and has contributed two songs to the film's soundtrack. She can also be seen on the new series of BBC 2's 'The Culture Show', airing June 17th (repeated June 20th).
