Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z "made a pact" not to put their daughter through a divorce.
The superstar couple are currently in the midst of a joint concert series and they've projected a united front on stage amidst rumours of marital discord. However, despite claims the couple will be calling it quits after their On The Run tour wraps up in September, the diva and rapper may not be in trouble after all.
"Now that they have Blue [Ivy] to think about, she's even more committed," a source explained to Hollywood Life. "She and Jay made a pact that they would never put Blue through a divorce, so they're working very hard to fix this situation. It's been a hard couple of months, but in no way is Beyoncé ready to give up on her family."
The music sensations dated for six years before they said, "I do" in April 2008. Rumours of a rough patch began to surface after Beyoncé's sister Solange was filmed attacking Jay-Z in an elevator in May. It has also been claimed that Jay-Z was unfaithful, but these allegations have not been proven.
Apparently Jay-Z has been spending a lot of time with Crazy In Love hitmaker lately, "doing everything to prove his love and loyalty to her and Blue".
"Beyoncé does not want a divorce, she's very against it on principal. That's why they waited so long to get married — she wanted to be a hundred per cent sure," the source explained.
On July 29, Beyoncé took to her Instagram to post a picture of her husband walking along the beach with Blue Ivy in his arms.
"My favorite hue is JayZ Blue," she captioned the photo.
