Beyonce ran straight into the arms of her husband Jay-Z after her triumphant Super Bowl appearance last night.
The singer was the highlight of the American football event, taking to the stage in a lace and leather outfit which showed off her toned legs and skimmed her butt. She accessorised with black socks pulled up to the knee and simple black high-heeled boots.
Beyoncé belted out her track Crazy In Love when she came on stage and later reunited with her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, as had been expected.
Her performance has been lauded by viewers and it seems she was just as thrilled, as she is spotted giving her husband a big hug backstage in a candid snap taken by make-up artist Joanna Simkin and posted on Instagram.
Beyoncé apparently raced backstage to see her spouse and the couple were seen laughing and joking with each other. In another image, they dash down a corridor together while surrounded by their entourage.
Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson also performed at the event - held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans - and Beyoncé was keen to show them her support. She wrote all the women a thank-you note which she posted online, saying: "What a proud day for African American Women!!!! Kelly, Michelle, Alicia, JHud you are all beautiful, talented and showed so much class (sic)."
Beyoncé performed with fireworks in the background and giant screens showing versions of herself dancing to her tracks in front of the 70,000 strong crowd.
The show went down a storm with celebrities and fans alike, with many taking to Twitter to praise the superstar singer.
"Watching the #SuperBowl with family & friends. @Beyonce was phenomenal! I am so proud of her! -mo (sic)," US First Lady Michelle Obama wrote.
Demi Lovato joked: "Y'all can keep watching the game but I think it's safe to say Beyonce just won the Super Bowl (sic)."
Kim Kardashian gushed: "I heard there was this little football game at the Beyonce concert today.... Is that true? #BeyonceBowl (sic)."
Shortly after the star left the stage at the half-time interlude, part of the stadium was plunged into darkness thanks to a power cut. It meant the match was delayed for 30 minutes, with people quickly using the social networking website to joke about what was going on.
"The force and power that is Beyonce just shut the Super Bowl down! Too funny!" Kelly Clarkson teased.
Chris Colfer wrote: " Beyonce broke the Super Bowl, y'all!!! #Too Bootylicious (sic)."
Shortly after the show the singer announced her next world tour, the Mrs. Carter Show. The event will start in Belgrade on April 15 and end in Brooklyn, New York, on August 3.
At the Super Bowl, Baltimore Ravens were eventually triumphant over the San Francisco 49ers.
