The same night Beyoncé debuts her highly anticipated documentary, "Life Is But a Dream," she's set to sit down with Oprah Winfrey for the talk show host's latest installment of OWN's "Oprah's Next Chapter."
The chat serves as a preamble to the film, which airs directly afterward on HBO. And while Oprah has shared with MTV News that she feels that "Life Is But a Dream" is an "empowering" look at the superstar's life, new teases for the Oprah interview give fans some insight into what exactly empowers the pop superstar.
"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," she tells Winfrey in a teaser for for Saturday's episode, released on Oprah.com, about her marriage to Jay-Z. "And, it just gives me such a foundation."
That groundwork was laid down long before Hova and Beyoncé ever got romantic. She added, "On so many levels [he's helped me]. We were friends first for a year and a half before we went on any dates, on the phone for a year and a half. And, that foundation is so important in a relationship. And just to have someone you just like is so important and someone that is honest."
In addition to opening up about married life, the "Next Chapter" episode also touches on Beyoncé's return to performing in May 2012 after giving birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy, in January of that year.
"I did a show three months after giving birth, which was really crazy," she said. "I had clearly never given birth, and I didn't know that I would gain 60 pounds — yeah, 57 pounds. But, I really wanted to know and I feel so fortunate to do my job. I love my job. I love singing. I love the way it feels."
While fans will certainly learn a thing or two about their idol on Saturday night, during this interview and her special, she told earlier this week that she learned just as much about her fans, the Bey Hive, while working on the project.
"I actually have a moment in the movie that's dedicated to the fans," she said of the home-movie scene. "It's so funny because, I don't want to give it away, but I was down with the Bey Hive since I was a little girl — I just didn't know it until I got into the edit and I said, 'Oh my God!' It's so funny how everything in my life connects."
