We've already heard Kanye West get sentimental on "White Dress," his contribution to the RZA's kung-fu flick "The Man With the Iron Fists," but now, we're getting something a little more, uh, appropriately ass-kicking.
Namely, "The Baddest Man Alive," a swampy, swaggering team-up between the Black Keys and RZA himself that, as its title suggests, is brimming with boasts ... and seems ready to back those claims up.
Rolling along on some rough-hewn guitar and pounding drums, and featuring Keys frontman Dan Auerbach threatening to "take the pitchfork from the devil" — to say nothing of RZA's claims that he'll "take a gasoline bath before walking through the fire" — "Baddest Man" seems like it will fit rather nicely into the Wu mastermind's directorial debut, a full-blown martial arts smackdown set in feudal China.
In addition to new songs from West and the Black Keys, "The Man With the Iron Fists'" soundtrack also features contributions from the likes of Pusha T and Talib Kweli. The film, which stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu, is set to hit theaters on November 2.
But before it premieres, fans can get an exclusive sneak peek at "Iron Fists" this Saturday (October 13) at on MTV as part of "Hip Hop Homecoming." Kicking off at 4 p.m. ET/PT, we'll be showing classic hip-hop films like "Notorious" and "8 Mile," and then, in the lead-up to the prime-time screening of 50 Cent's "Get Rich or Die Tryin,'" we'll unveil never-before-seen footage of the RZA's bloody good foray into kung fu.
