Bobby Brown is reportedly "strongly considering" checking into rehab.
The troubled musician was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol earlier this week.
Now sources close to the star believe the incident has shocked him into possibly seeking professional help.
"Sources close to Brown tell us... even though Bobby has been through rehab before, he didn't take it very seriously in the past ... because he didn't truly believe he was an alcohol abuser," reports US website TMZ.
"One source tells us... Bobby is strongly considering checking back into rehab ... but so far, no decision has been made. We're told his friends support the idea... but they don't want to push him too hard because they know treatment will only be effective if Bobby makes the decision by himself."
Bobby was arrested for the same charge in March and admitted himself into rehab in August. The R&B star was undergoing treatment for alcohol addiction as part of a legal arrangement when he was arrested this week.
Those closest to the 43-year-old reportedly fear his brushes with the law could land him in further trouble.
"Bobby's family are at their wits' end following his latest arrest and are scared that the authorities will throw him in jail," a source previously divulged.
