Bobby Brown wants the media to report on the state of Bobbi Kristina with "integrity".
The 46-year-old singer's daughter Bobbi Kristina, who he shares with the late Whitney Houston, is currently hospitalised after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Roswell, Georgia home on January 31.
Several relatives have given updates to the press on the 21-year-old's medical condition and Bobby's lawyer Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC has issued a statement to Us Weekly magazine addressing these string of interviews.
"At this time it is requested that the media cease speaking with unauthorised members of the family," attorney Christopher's statement reads. "The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalisation of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised. Various members of the family have provided media interviews, however, none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina. None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina's treatment and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them."
Bobbi Kristina's cousin Jerod Brown has been particularly vocal in the wake of her hospitalisation.
An official inquiry has been launched into her death and Bobby's lawyer Christopher asks the public to allow authorities to do their jobs.
"In particular, Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to make statements and appear on television, however, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family," the statement continues. "He must be disregarded. Please do not attend any 'meet and greet' organised by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition. This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this side show. We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers."
