Before appearing on Bestival's main stage the next day, Bombay Bicycle Club will headline a charity gig in London on September 5 for WaterAid, the international development charity.
The show kicks off WaterAid's first ever series of concerts under the banner of 'WaterAid presents....'
The gig is promoted by Lake of Stars and the proceeds will go to help WaterAid's work to bring clean water and safe sanitation to some of the poorest people in the world.
Bombay Bicycle Club has released three albums in the past three years culminating in 2011's 'A Different Kind of Fix'. The band won the best new band at NME Awards in 2010 and recent tours have seen them headline Alexandra Palace and play major festival slots at Reading, Leeds, Hyde Park and Glastonbury. They're hard at work in the studio working on their 4th album at the moment.
WaterAid is an international charity dedicated to helping some of the world's poorest communities to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation. It is an official charity of Bestival and Glastonbury Festival.
