Brandy and Monica have revealed that their children are showing a keen interest in music.
The two singers had a hit with 1998 duet The Boy Is Mine and are set to reunite for another collaboration.
Now both proud mothers, the pals proudly described their kids' musical talents.
Brandy said that her nine-year-old daughter Sy'rai Iman is regularly putting on performances at home.
"She's into her school work and her education but singing is all she does, watching videos and making up routines," Brandy told People magazine. "I'm seeing the signs, but I want her to hold on a little longer and have a regular childhood."
Monica added that her eldest son Rodney is also a budding musician.
The singer said that the six-year-old loves playing the drums and is begging her for lessons.
"Rodney is a drummer. He is only six and a half and is in the third grade. He wants to go to college like [my husband] Shannon and he's serious about musical intent - he plays his drums daily and asks for lessons," she said. "He asked me, 'Can you call Travis Barker [of Blink – 182] and have him come give me drum lessons?'"
Brandy and Monica added that they are planning to tour together this summer and enjoy their revived friendship.
They explained that their new experiences as mothers have contributed to their new single It All Belongs To Me.
"I just feel blessed. We had to get here as people first before we could do anything musically [again] and be the artists that we are, the mothers that we are," Monica said.
"We are ready to sing," Brandy added.
