Profits over the weekend pushed the movie's total worldwide takings to $520million.
The film, which stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, has maintained its number one position ahead of The Muppets, which took $11.2m, and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, which landed in third place with $7.62m.
Arthur Christmas was in fourth position with $7.3m, while Happy Feet Two came in fifth place with $6m.
Rounding off the box-office top ten were Jack And Jill, The Descendants, Immortals, Tower Heist, and Puss In Boots.
