Brendan Benson has revealed full details of his forthcoming album 'The Alternative To Love.
The Detroit-based star's follow-up to 2002's acclaimed 'Lapalco' will be released on March 14 by V2. It's preceded by a single, 'Spit It Out', on March 7.

Following his recent jaunt with Keane, the singer will return to the UK in February, kicking off at Edinburgh's The Venue on the 21st.
Support will come from Oxford band, Psychid.
The star will then return to play a larger London show in April.

Benson's close friend Jack White recently revealed that he wanted to make the new White Stripes record at Brendan 's house. The pair have also recorded enough songs for an album together, although it is not clear when this will come out.
