The former Westlife star was also said to have tried to light up a cigarette as he sat in the V Australia flight business class from Los Angeles, until he was restrained by his friend, Kyle Sandilands.
The pair were escorted off flight VA2 when it landed in Sydney at 8am.
They were then filmed by a news crew from Australia's Channel 9 as they left the airport.
Brian said: 'There was a bit of turbulence about four hours in. I don't smoke. Run in with air hostesses? Lighting up a cigarette on a plane? That's illegal.'
Sandilands, a judge on Australia's Got Talent, then said: 'He didn’t do anything, I told you that!'
Brian later took to Twitter to say the incident was a 'storm in a tea cup'.
He added: 'Wasn't arrested! didn't smoke on the flight. and the virgin staff were very nice. i did have a few drinks but i was not smashed and abusive.
“If reports were true then i would have been arrested, fined and wosrt! banned from my favorite airline v australia. storm in a tea cup.'
Brian was not arrested or charged and the Australian Federal Police has said no further action will be taken.
