The Great Escape Festival is delighted to announce that it has a new headline partner for 2007. T-Mobile Street Gigs are joining forces with The Great Escape as the event moves into its second year.
T-Mobile Street Gigs are famed for their surprising and unique take on music and gigs. Intimate and extremely credible, Street Gigs have changed many people's perception about what is the perfect gig. Head of Sponsorship for T-Mobile, Toby Hester has identified why The Great Escape is the perfect partner. "Although there may be over 5000 people attending across the 3 days, the gigs will take place predominately in small venues, this is similar to Street Gigs, but what we really want to do is surprise people. We will be introducing guest appearances, secret performances and exclusive sets all set in unusual locations across Brighton. We really want everyone to go away having had the best experience ever and I'm sure they will".
Previously T-Mobile have performed Street Gigs in the Natural History Museum with The Strokes, The Streets in a Lighthouse, Mika in a Circus Tent and The Rakes in a kebab shop. We can't wait to see what they're planning for The Great Escape – more details to come soon!
