The award-winning 2000trees festival today unveiled the headline acts set to lead a third year of great live music in the picturesque Cotswolds.
British Sea Power, Fightstar and Frank Turner will perform alongside around 60 acts at the event, which takes place on July 17 and 18.
Also lined up for the main stage are Danananaykroyd, Rolo Tamassi, Wild Beasts, Amplifier, The Chapman Family, Imperial Leisure, Six Nation State, Baddies, Sucioperro, Diagonal and Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man.
While the Leaf Lounge will see The Epstein, The Brute Chorus, Babel, Orphans and Vandals, Sailorette, Sandra and the Memory Machine, Wojtek Godzisz, Stanton Delaplane, The Master Chaynjis, Jim lockey, John Crampton, Dr Butlers Hatstand Medicine Band, Randall Stevens, Sara Schiralli and Dan Heaver.
Early entry passes are also available for just 500 festival fans for a 'Special Guests Night' of live music – and a prime camping spot – on July 16.
More acts are still to be announced.
The festival sold out last year and won the 'A Greener Festival Award' – for raising awareness of green issues and demonstrating its commitment to sustainability by recycling 78 per cent of waste among a host of eco-friendly measures. It was also shortlisted for Best Small Festival in the UK Festival Awards 2008.
It was born out of the organiser's general disillusionment with the mainstream music festivals they had been attending for the last decade. Six friends increasingly frustrated with ever spiralling costs, poor facilities and pursuit of profit at all costs.
They were determined to set up an event with less commercial emphasis; and instead be about a love of live music and having a great time in a relaxing, affordable and inspiring environment.
Tickets cost £47 and early entry passes for July 16 cost £7. For more information visit www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk
