Britney Spears has reportedly been banned from going online and reading gossip about herself.
The 31-year-old pop star has been through a lot recently, after confirming her split from fiancé Jason Trawick and leaving The X Factor US after one season. Her team are said to be reluctant to leave her on her own, and don't want her to read about any speculation surrounding her personal and professional life.
"Britney seems confused and her team want someone with her constantly," a source told Closer magazine. "They're worried about what she sees and hears and have banned her from using the phone or going online. She speaks to her family on her security team's phone. She's extremely fragile."
After her engagement ended, Jason also stepped down as one of Britney's legal conservators.
She remains the subject of a conservatorship order following her 2007 meltdown in which she shaved her head bald, and those close to her worried she may have another mental breakdown.
It has been reported Britney is considering a $100 million deal for a Las Vegas residency.
Britney's team are concerned she may not be in the right state of mind to perform so many regular shows in the popular party city.
"It would be mentally and physical gruelling and, at the moment, she seems to be barely getting through the day," a source claimed.
There is also speculation that Britney has started comfort eating and has gained weight in recent weeks.
"She'll eat chips, then say she wasn't hungry," an insider revealed. "She needs all the support she can get."
