Britney Spears is working on a new album.
The 33-year-old singer's last offering was Britney Jean in 2013, and now the star reveals she is preparing to hit the studio once again.
However, the Toxic singer, who has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, admits new music isn't her main priority in life.
"I'm gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely," she told Billboard magazine. "There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I'm gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now."
As well as her family life, Britney is also being kept busy with her residency in Las Vegas. And her manager Larry Rudolph added in the interview that the album is likely to be a while in the making.
"Right now we're just concentrating on putting out a few great singles as they come," he said. "We're not really talking seriously about a new album yet. Albums just aren't as important in the digital age as they used to be. Britney will get to one eventually, but not right now."
Britney's revelations about a new album come as it was reported that she is in talks to perform during the halftime show at the 50th Super Bowl next year.
"She's ready to do something massive," a source told the National Enquirer.
"She's definitely doing a part in the Super Bowl halftime show next year. The details haven't totally been worked out yet, but it will be huge."
