Britney Spears' two worlds collided Wednesday night (November 28) when will.i.am's "Scream and Shout" video was previewed during her "X Factor" day job. Only a minute or so played during the broadcast, with the full video premiering online after that.
The glamour-meter was turned up to 100 in the almost exclusively black-and-gold music video, with Spears sporting teased Brigitte Bardot hair and will.i.am dripping in jewelry. If anyone doubted her enduring sex appeal, Spears proved she's still got it, in a midriff-baring bodycon dress (still showing off her tummy, 13 years after her breakthrough "...Baby One More Time" video!) and a corseted leotard accented with feathers in later scenes.
The video's manic pace matched the club-ready track, with no shot lasting more than a few seconds. Images of triangles, burning disco balls, an exploding Lamborghini and a confetti-shooting gun appeared throughout the video, and Brit and will were joined by a handful of dance crews in the crowded clip.

Even though Spears is the very picture of confidence in the "Scream and Shout" video, directed by Ben Mor (Katy Perry's "Part of Me," Black Eyed Peas' "Meet Me Halfway"), she looked a little anxious about it being shown during "X Factor," giving an embarrassed smile once the minute-long preview finished. Host Khloé Kardashian asked Spears what it was like reuniting with will.i.am, her previous collaborator on Femme Fatale's "Big Fat Bass."
"He's like a big kid to work with," she said. "He's so much fun. We had a lot of fun."
Could Britney Spears write the next Great American Novel?
"Scream and Shout" is the latest single from the BEP mastermind's upcoming solo album, #willpower. In a press release last week announcing the music video, will sounded very enthusiastic to work with Spears again.
"Working with an artist like Britney is the reason I love making music," he said. "She loves music as much as I do. And I am so proud of this new song 'Scream & Shout.' This is the most exciting song I've worked on in a long time."
Britney was equally excited about the collabo, with the "X Factor" judge gushing: "There are few people on the planet who inspire me like will.i.am does. I couldn't be more excited to work with him again. I can't wait for people to hear the song and see the video."
