The 'Womanizer' hitmaker – whose relationship with agent Jason Trawick is reportedly in trouble – has approached British TV star-gazer Russell Grant and asked for a reading to find out what her future holds.
Russell, 59, confirmed: "I got an email from Britney Spears' office. Apparently she wants a reading. I need to check out its validity."
This is not the first time 28-year-old Britney – who has sons Sean Preston, four, and three-year-old Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline – has turned to Russell for advice.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Britney has asked Russell for readings in the past and really values his advice."
Britney is not the only star to have an interest in astrology.
It was recently claimed that Victoria Beckham has taken up 'yogalosophy' - a fitness regime which combines the ancient meditative practice of yoga with astrology - after being introduced to it by actress Jennifer Aniston.
A friend said: "Victoria hates working out in the gym, but she has to keep in shape, so she is always on the lookout for a new exercise regime.
"She bought the Yogalosophy DVD and does her workout at home around four times a week to 'align her mind and spirit'. She's really starting to notice the difference."
