Britney Spears: Saldana's having twins

Britney Spears has revealed Zoe Saldana is having twins.

The Star Trek actress landed her breakthrough role in 2002 film Crossroads alongside the singer and the pair have kept in touch after working together.

Zoe recently announced she is pregnant for the first time and during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, Britney seemed to have let it slip that her friend is carrying more than one child.

"Who knows? That's a very good idea," Britney responded when asked if she'd do another movie with Zoe. "But she's pregnant with twins right now. So I'm sure she's got a huge future ahead of her."

Zoe has not yet commented on Britney's statements at press time.

The 32-year-old pop star is incredibly busy of late, as she launched her lingerie line called Intimate Britney Spears at New York Fashion Week and she is also putting on a string of concerts as part of her Britney: Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Despite her schedule being filled with a myriad of professional obligations at this time, Britney is still managing to work on music, albeit "very slowly, but progressively".

"I want to do something very artsy-fartsy, something I've never done before…," she told Extra, noting she wants to collaborate with Katy Perry and Iggy Azalea on new tracks.

Britney is mother to sons Sean, seven, and Jayden, eight.

And although she is a household name around the world, the Work B***h hitmaker is just a regular old mom in the eyes of her children.

"I think they know I have a job on the side where I become Britney Spears on stage, but at home, I'm just mama," she noted to Extra.
