Britney Spears and her fiancé will be spending Christmas with her family.
The singer got engaged to Hollywood agent Jason Trawick over the festive season last year and it's been speculated they are going through a rocky patch. Earlier this week it was reported the pair were planning a vacation over the holidays to work through their issues.
It's now been claimed they have decided to make it a family affair and so will travel back to Britney's hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, for a celebration.
"Britney and Jason are bringing her sons down to Louisiana to be with the family, including her sister and her mom, Lynne," a source told New York Post.
Britney and Jason will apparently board a flight from Los Angeles today. She has been busy working as a judge and mentor on the US X Factor, which finished last night, and is said to be looking forward to a break.
"She loved working with the contestants and the girls, but she doesn't yet know if she'll do another season," the insider added.
It was initially thought Britney and Jason were planning a winter wedding, with reports suggesting they called off the plans as they weren't getting along.
It's not known what the pair have been disagreeing about, but they apparently believe spending quality time together over the next few weeks will help them both work out how they want to go forward.
"Things have been getting worse and worse with their relationship for several months now, and they know they have to figure things out once and for all because they can't keep going on like this," an insider told RadarOnline yesterday.
Earlier this year, Jason was approved as one of Britney's co-conservators, meaning he helps to look after her personal and professional affairs following her 2008 meltdown.
It's understood he has vowed to continue working with the star even if they eventually break up.
