Britney Spears is adding a new producer to her already A-list posse. Hit-Boy, a key member of Kanye West's clique, is bringing his hip-hop swag to her upcoming album.
"I'm bringing my world to her world, so I'm infusing what I do in hip-hop and bringing pop elements to it. So it's just going to be a global sound," he told on the set of the "Scream & Shout" remix clip. "We've just been throwing ideas back and forth so far. So I can't really put a number on it or anything but it's coming together."
And despite Spears' legend status, Hit-Boy says she doesn't act like a diva at all. "I mean she's actually just really nice and cool," he revealed. "It's nothing different than working with everyone else, just a really cool person."
The pop vixen has also enlisted the help of another "Scream & Shout" pal, will.i.am, for her follow-up to 2011's Femme Fatale. But, unlike will, Hit-Boy thinks he has yet to really prove himself as a pop guy. And while he has worked on tracks for Justin Bieber and Rihanna in the past, he's hoping this album will help him cross over in a big way.
"I mean Britney, I mean she's amazing. She's been around for years and she's gonna to continue to do her thing," Hit-Boy said. " I wanted to just show people that I'm not just a hip-hop producer, that I'm not just an urban world [and] that I'm just a music maker in general. And I can make quality stuff no matter what it is and when she reached out it's like so perfect ... to make it happen. So we went in the studio and we started making some ideas already. And it's coming out nice, so I'm excited about that."
