E-Street Band guitarist says Bruce Springsteen probably has a solo album in the works.
Steve Van Zandt, guitarist for Springsteen's E-Street Band, has said that the Boss will probably put a solo album out before he gets back with the band.
According to Gigwise Van Zandt told to Philadelphia's WMGK Radio that Bruce has 'always got an album in his pocket, he's always writing something".
He continued ' don't know this for a fact, but I expect him to possibly put something out that's more of a solo nature, before we get back together. Only because he's just so prolific, still, after all these years. He's still just a terrific songwriter and writes all the time. I would expect him starting to have a backlog of songs, just in terms of the time that have passed'.
Springsteen's last solo album was the 2006's excellent We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, but it was also his only all-covers album so he really hasn't aired solo originals since 2005's Devils & Dust.
