Cameron Diaz revealed she once busted her nose while surfing

The Green Hornet star detailed her past facial injuries during an appearance on TBS’s Conan show on Monday night.

“I love to surf, it’s not that I’m great at it but I love it,” she told host Conan O’Brien.

“It’s pretty dangerous as the ocean is the most powerful force on earth. I don’t think it’s a secret at this point, but I did bust my face with a surf board.

“It went right into my face and bashed the side of my nose. Not that my nose was perfect, as I’d broken my nose three times before that - it was two fists, a knee and then a surf board.'

“The first time was a Samoan bouncer’s fist, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, it wasn’t my fault!”

Growing up in Long Beach, Diaz said she’d had her fair share of skirmishes.

'You know people give you the stink eye and roll their necks a little bit?' she told O’Brien, before recalling a story about how one woman once appeared to give her attitude while she was driving.

“But then I realised that she was actually like 'Oh my God, that’s Cameron Diaz!'
