Carrie Underwood had fun at the expense of Taylor Swift at Thursday night's Country Music Association Awards.
The American Idol winner and country music phenomenon teamed up with Brad Paisley to host the prestigious music event in Nashville.
Taylor is riding high in the charts with her hit, We're Never Ever Getting Back Together, but had a recent low with the split from boyfriend Conor Kennedy.
"Brad and I were backstage talking about what a strange year this has been," Carrie said during the opening monologue.
"Just look at sports, I can't keep track of all these trades," Brad said noting that Tim Tebow is now playing for the New York Jets.
"The greatest trade of the year had to be the Kennedy family, they somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift. I mean what they got for that…"
But Carrie stopped him mid-sentence and whispered in his ear about Taylor splitting from her summer fling.
"What? Why don't I ever hear about these things?" Brad lamented. "I'm the last one to know."
"Are they ever gonna get back together?"
"Never," Carrie retorted over and over. "Never ever."
