Carrie Underwood was the special guest of The Rolling Stones in Toronto, Canada yesterday (May 25, 2013).
Carrie joined the Stones on stage to sing the classic 'It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It) with Mick Jagger. "8 years ago today, I won @AmericanIdol and tonight, I sang with the @RollingStones! Wow, so much has happened! #Thankful," she tweeted after the show.
When she came off stage she jumped straight onto Twitter and posted, "I just sang with the @RollingStones! Holy cow! I walked off stage and said, "What just happened?!" Still can't believe it! :)".
Last night before the show Carrie tweeted, "I'm pretty sure tonight is going to be one of the greatest nights of my life! I'm singing with THE ROLLING STONES!!! Still can't believe it!"
After rehearsals this afternoon she said, "Just had rehearsals! The guys are so great! They made this country girl feel right at home!"
Guests on the tour so far have included Katy Perry, Tom Waits, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Gwen Stefani, Dave Grohl, John Fogerty and Bonnie Raitt.
The new edition to the setlist for the tour was the first time airing of the Goats Head Soup classic 'Angie'.
The next Rolling Stones show on the 50 and Counting tour will be Tuesday, May 28 in Chicago.
