Pop phenomenon, Charli XCX, has today revealed the official tracklisting for her highly-anticipated new album Sucker which will be released in the UK on January 26 through Asylum Records.
The Sesac Songwriter of the Year 2014 is also delighted to announce a UK headline tour, which will take place in March/April 2015. The run of dates kick off at Brighton's Concorde 2 on March 24 following with shows in London (Shepherd's Bush Empire), Glasgow, Sheffield, Oxford, Manchester, Nottingham before finishing-up at Birmingham's Institute on April 2 (tickets on sale Friday 7 November at 9am).
Charli XCX (22-year-old Charlotte Aitchison from Hertfordshire) is ready to set the world alight with Sucker; a 14-track collection of ballsy pop songs and the follow-up to last year's critically-acclaimed debut album, True Romance.
Charli has worked closely with long-time collaborator, Patrik Berger (Lana Del Rey, Robyn), on the new record along with an array of acclaimed associates: Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, Weezer's very own Rivers Cuomo, Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Vampire Weekend), StarGate (Beyoncé, Rihanna), Benny Blanco (Katy Perry), Cashmere Cat, Greg Kurstin (Sia, Lykke Li), John Hill (Santigold, Empire of the Sun), Justin Raisen (Sky Ferreira) and the members of Miike Snow.
Alternating her time between Los Angeles and Sweden over the last 18 months for writing and recording sessions, Sucker showcases Charli XCX's musical progression: an exploration into love and growing-up, which she's interpreted spectacularly over a variety of different sounds.
