R&B and funk great Charlie Wilson will be taking his fourth trip to the middle east later this month to perform at U.S. service bases for soldiers returning from Iraq.
"We're taking Charlie's full tour to Kuwait to welcome our troops as they return home," stated Michael Paran, Wilson's manager and CEO of P Music Group. "We spent time with the troops during our last three visits and see how important it is to let them know that we appreciate their service to our country."
"I can't wait to get back and have a real party with our troops," stated Wilson. "It's an honor to be a part of the welcome home celebration. We owe them and their families a debt of gratitude for the sacrifices they have made to protect our country."
Wilson is taking time from his US tour to travel to Kuwait. He has been supporting his current critically acclaimed album, Just Charlie which includes the number one singles, You Are and Life Of The Party. Earlier in his career, Wilson was lead singer of the Gap Band.
