Nearly a decade after her last U.S. release, 24-year-old Welsh singer Charlotte Church will issue sixth studio album "Back to Scratch" in the States in early 2011. The disc, Church's first album to arrive in the U.S. since 2001's "Enchantment," was produced by Martin Terefe (Train, Jason Mraz) and was released overseas last month.
"Back to Scatch" continues Church's exploration of pop music after debuting as a 12-year-old classical prodigy with "Voice of an Angel" in 1998. After changing her sound with 2005 European release "Tissues and Issues," the singer hosted her own U.K. talk show, "The Charlotte Church Show," and gave birth to two children, Ruby and Dexter.
Church preceded the release of "Back to Scratch" with a music video for its title track last September. The singer has also appeared alongside Justin Bieber, Colbie Caillat and Jack Black on the American Cancer Society's "More Birthdays" campaign.
