The 24-year-old singer has had a dramatic life so far, including becoming an international star aged 11 and splitting from Gavin Henson, the father of her two children Ruby, three, and 10-month-old Dexter earlier this year.
Despite growing up in the public eye, Charlotte insists she has maintained a healthy mind, attributing her maturity to a sensible outlook on life.
"I should be completely off my trolley by now, shouldn't I?" she laughed in an interview with the BBC.
"I think I've just got a good sense of perspective to be honest.”
Charlotte also discussed how keen she is to remain in close contact with her friends and family back home in her native Wales. The talented star admits she’s always generous with pals who aren’t famous like her, but she’s also wary of being too liberal with the contents of her purse.
"We go in rounds and stuff, but sometimes I'll have a party at my house and no-one has to bring anything, so I'm pretty generous.
"But at the same time you have to have that give and take, which is what sustains a relationship, otherwise you just feel that people are taking the mickey out of you," she confessed.
