Charlotte Church would never date a man her children didn't like.
The singer – who has two kids, Ruby, who is three on Monday (20.09.10), and 20-month-old Dexter with ex-fiance Gavin Henson – says her children will always be her main priority and she wouldn't hesitate to end a relationship if they weren't happy with the guy.
She said: "I would drop a man like a hot chip if my children said they didn't like him. It's all about my children and that's the way things will always remain."
Charlotte – who is dating musician Jonathan Powell – insists she and Gavin now have an amicable relationship as they know the importance of putting their children's' needs first.
The 24-year-old star – who is relaunching her pop career with new LP 'Back to Scratch' - added in an interview with The Sun newspaper:
"When me and Gavin finished it was sad and the both of us would have loved to have kept a happy family for our children until we died. If you are going to be realistic about it, it doesn't always work out like that. We had to face up to it and realise it just wasn't working.
My life has been thrown wide open.
"I will have to go to America and promote my album. I'll give it a go but I am worried about uprooting the kids, I want them to see their father. Even though we live separate lives, we're still a family unit."
