Cheryl Cole reportedly refused to sign a pre-nuptial agreement.
The 31-year-old married French entrepreneur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini on July 7.
The star previously tied the knot ex-England star Ashley Cole in 2006 without a pre-nup, and she's thought to have entered her second marriage without drafting paperwork to protect her assets once again.
"She is a canny businesswoman but in matters of love, she believes the heart should rule the head to a certain extent," a source told the British newspaper The Mirror.
The X Factor judge has called pre-nups "disgusting" in the past.
"I think that's defeating the point," the singer said. "We're getting married because we're committing ourselves to each other to spend the rest of our lives together. No ifs and buts."
The performer confirmed her union to Jean-Bernard on Instagram, sharing a picture of her ring and writing, "I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.
"We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together."
The newlyweds had reportedly been dating for three months before they exchanged vows.
She has previously been romantically linked with professional dancer Derek Hough and backing dancer Tre Holloway.
Her courtship with Tre ended last year.
