Chris Brown has reportedly been arrested for felony assault.
The singer is alleged to have attacked a man in Washington D.C., according to TMZ. It is believed the incident took place outside the W Hotel at around 4.30am on Sunday morning. The website claims Chris lost his temper and punched the man once in the face.
Chris is not thought to have known the alleged victim, who allegedly didn't throw any punches during the altercation.
"Our law enforcement sources say Brown did not appear to be under the influence of anything at the time of the incident," adds TMZ.
Chris is still thought to be in custody, and his bodyguard was also said to have been arrested at the scene.
The alleged victim is apparently being evaluated by medical experts at a hospital in Washington after complaining of injuries.
Earlier in the evening, Chris had been hosting a party at a nearby nightclub.
This is the latest in a long line of run-ins with the police for Chris. The 24-year-old star is still on probation following his 2009 assault conviction of his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
It has been claimed that this most recent fracas may be deemed as a violation of his probation, which could land him with a jail sentence.
In August, he lashed out at the Los Angeles District Attorney after he was ordered to do 1,000 hours of community service. The punishment was handed down due to an alleged violation of his probation after he was apparently involved in an alleged hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles in May.
"N***a done 6 months community service wit police and the DA racist a*s crying to the judge that I didn't do it. F**k the SYSTEM!" he posted on Twitter.
Chris' next album X is scheduled for release next month and will be his sixth studio album.
