Chris Brown is facing a court hearing which could determine whether he is sent back to jail.
The singer spent the weekend locked up after a judge found him guilty of violating the rules of his court-ordered rehab programme for anger management.
It was not made clear what the incident that got him thrown out of the facility was, but his actions were in violation of the probation he was placed under following his assault on Rihanna in 2009.
According to Fox News, the hearing will determine whether Chris will face any additional penalties, which could even include more time in prison.
The 24-year-old's dismissal from rehab is said to be unrelated to substance abuse or violence, but it's thought he was having an "inappropriate" relationship with a member of staff at the beginning of the month.
Chris was ordered to spend time in rehab in November, after a man accused the singer of punching him during an argument in Washington, D.C.
It was thought the star was making good progress in rehab and he was given a positive report at his last court hearing in February.
Recently it was reported that Chris' angry outbursts could be a result of bipolar disorder.
"Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD," wrote his rehab facility, according to TMZ.
Those at the treatment facility also made a point of saying Chris has been making exceptional progress and staff are more than happy with his behaviour while in treatment. The star apparently got up at 5am every day and worked hard, taking all his duties seriously.
Despite his legal issues, Chris has been focusing on work.
"countdown to my duet with @ArianaGrande starts tomorrow #dontbegonetoolong (sic)," said a message posted on his Twitter page on Sunday.
