Chris Brown: 'I'm not all bad'

Singer Chris brown doesn't care if people don't like him, as no one pays attention to the nice things he does anyway.

It could be argued the 26-year-old star has had more downs than ups in his career, including numerous run-ins with the law. One incident he'll never escape is the assault of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He's still found success with his music though, and doesn't understand why people don't take notice of that.

"As a man you deal with adolescence and you deal with peer pressure a lot," Chris told Notion magazine. "People talk about me being in gangs and affiliated but they don't talk about the nice things I do... Nobody cares about it unless it's glorified in rap music. You don't have to like me."

Chris may be assessing his reputation due to his daughter Royalty, who he has with Nia Guzman. The musician has named his new album, out 18 December (15), after the tot and insists his previous behaviour was down to his age.

"I love being a father, you know, and at the same time, there were certain wrongs and certain rights that I did do," he added. "I might've hurt some people along the way.

"I've made mistakes, I've judged people who made mistakes and they judge me back. The mindset I was in when I was younger, it was full of arrogance like, 'Yeah I'm an asshole like, so f**k it, I got money like,' and you know, at the end of the day everybody knows right from wrong."

It was only earlier this month (Dec15) that Chris told Los Angeles radio host Ryan Seacrest how much he has changed since becoming a dad. He loves every minute of learning to look after his little girl and is picking up some new lessons for himself along the way.

"I barely know how to brush my teeth in the morning! It's actually great. It's very humbling... It's very calming," he explained.

"I think I was a lot (more)... rambunctious, very hyper as a kid but, now seeing that 10 times over, my daughter's kinda, like, mellowing me out."
