We already know Chris Brown can dance and sing, but did you know the young hitmaker is also a math whiz as well?
Breezy's upcoming X album title has a ton of meanings that you may need a pen and pad to figure out.
"I made it kinda numerical," Brown told last week, days ahead of the premiere of "Fine China," the first single and video from the upcoming LP. "X is a Roman numeral for 10; this also symbolizes 10 years of me being an artist. I started when I was 14."
Brown doesn't stop there. The number 10 — and, by extension, the Roman numeral X — not only represents the amount of the time he's spent in the business; Chris also connects the number to his birthday, May 5, 1989.
"X also means my birthday, 5/5/89. Five and five is 10; eight, nine, 10, so X," he said. "And then another quick one is 24. It's the 24th letter in the alphabet, and I'll be 24 when X comes out. That's kind of it in a nutshell."
On Monday, Brown debuted the album's first single, "Fine China," and he also opened up to MTV News about "Autumn Leaves," featuring Kendrick Lamar, and "Put It Up" with Rihanna. "So we did 'Nobody's Business' for her album, and then I wrote a song, it's called 'Put It Up.' It's more of an R&B record," he said. "I wanted to do an R&B record with Rihanna because I didn't want it to be the same four-on-the-floor pop," he added, alluding to the sound on their previous duets like the remixes of "Birthday Cake" and "Turn Up the Music."
