Chris Brown was apparently the intended target at a shooting in the early hours of this morning.
The 25-year-old singer was hosting a pre-MTV VMA party at 1Oak nightclub in West Hollywood on Saturday ahead of the awards show tonight.
According to TMZ, shots were heard at around 1.30am on Sunday, with music producer Suge Knight, 49, thought to have been hit twice. Witnesses have now speculated on Twitter that it seemed the shots were meant for Chris.
According to witnesses and his family, Suge was rushed to surgery by ambulance. Chris was not hit.
The update according to family sources is that Suge is now out of surgery. He's in the intensive care unit, but is expected to make a recovery. He was apparently shot at six times during the incident, with the two hits to his stomach and arm and potentially other body parts.
It's thought the founder-and-CEO of Black Kapital Records managed to walk out of the club by himself, before being spotted by police, who guided him to an ambulance.
It's thought two others were shot and that one is in a critical condition.
"It's disappointing that we as a society can't have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bulls**t!!! (sic)," Chris posted on Twitter.
Tyson Beckford, The Black Eyed Peas' apl.de.ap and Justin Bieber also attended last night's event.
