Cissy Houston is upset about her daughter Whitney Houston's solitary death.
The 79-year-old singer revealed her inner turmoil in a new memoir entitled Remembering Whitney.
The book sees Cissy write candidly about her daughter's drug problems, her relationship with ex-husband Bobby Brown and her premature death last February.
"I'm angry she died alone, in those conditions," Cissy wrote.
"I'm still mad about that."
Whitney died the night before the Grammy Awards by drowning in a hotel bathtub with traces of cocaine in her system.
Cissy also questions her abilities as a parent in the tome.
"I still wonder if I could have saved her somehow. But there's no book written on how to be a parent. You do the best you can," she penned.
"She started partying and she didn't really know how to stop. I used to wonder what she was doing at night, where she was."
But Cissy does not believe that Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown, the father to their daughter Bobbi Kristina, is to blame for the star's issues.
"I blame him for the way he treated her," says Cissy about the R&B singer.
"But I don't blame him for her drug problems. He was no help to her at all."
