Coldplay frontman Chris Martin confirms that the band isn't retiring.
The British rockers played a concert in Brisbane on last after which frontman Chris Martin suggested the band has grown tired of touring.
"This is the last big show for three years or so," he told reporters after the show, while adding, "I don't want to stop."
Chris didn't mean that Coldplay would stop producing music.
In fact, the band already has a release date for their new album set.
"It happens to us every album. I say on stage, 'I'll see you in a bit', then we always bring out another album and look silly because everyone's like, 'I thought you retired?' " Chris told British newspaper The Sun.
"The album is definitely coming, unless the rest of the band decide to pursue their modelling careers of course – goodness knows mine is over."
Coldplay has been on tour since October 2011 promoting their latest record, Mylo Xyloto.
The industrious group has released five studio albums since 2000.
