Coldplay fans will have to wait a little longer for the band's next album.
Originally the fifth Coldplay album was expected around May /June but coldplaying.com has revealed that it has now been pushed back to October.
Coldplay's 'official leak' locust7 revealed at coldplaying.com, ' can confirm the change of plans in the Coldplay camp regarding the schedule of the release of LP5, originally before summer. Hope people can wait until October. Everybody who guessed October as the month of release deserves a prize'.
Coldplay are booked to headline 15 festivals including Glastonbury and T In The Park before October so it sounds like there will be no new material in the setlist either until after the release of the album.
Coldplay have been working on a 5th album since December 2009. In June 2010 it was announced at their website that it was nearly finished. However, the only new music we heard from Coldplay last year was the Christmas song 'Christmas Lights'.
Two song titles have been announced. 'Princess of China' and 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterwall' are expected to make the new release.
The last Coldplay album was 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends' in 2008. There was also the 'Prospekt's March' EP released in 2009.
