Coldplay, REM and U2 to feature on new Red Rocks charity live album.
The famous Red Rocks Ampitheater outside Denver is a natural occurrence surrounded by rock that provides perfect acoustics. However, the constant traffic of artists and performances is starting to take its toll on the landscape.
Hence the 'Preserve The Rocks Fund', which has spawned the'Carved In Stone' compilation CDs. The forthcoming 'Vol. 2' is due for US release on June 15.
From Coldplay's first performance at Red Rocks last year is a live version of 'Politik', while U2's classic 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' is the only previously released track, grafted from 1983's 'Under A Blood Red Sky'.
