Overview
The British band will be closing the Main Stage on the Saturday night of the show eight years after their last performance in 2003.
The show's boss Geoff Ellis said: 'After they played that year, they went back to their hotel and sat up, watching the late night highlights on the BBC.
'Chris Martin sent a text message to our guys here saying how amazing it looked and how it captured the spirit of their performance. He also said in the text that they couldn't wait to come back - and now they are.'
Other stars performing at the festival, in Scotland, include Plan B, Brandon Flowers and The Script.
