COLDPLAY have become the first band to sell more than one million digital albums in America.
The figures, compiled by Nielsen SoundScan, adds to the band's total of more than two million complete albums that have been sold worldwide.
The figures also include downloads of Coldplay's four full-length albums, as well as a live album and a full-length EP.
Frontman Chris Martin and co are currently touring North America in support of their most recent album, 'Viva La Vida'.
Meanwhile, the band will debut the video for their latest single, 'Strawberry Swing', on Monday via Babelgum.com which features Martin as an animated super hero.
