Coldplay closed the Paralympic Games in London last night with special guests Rihanna and Jay-Z.
Coldplay closed the Paralympic Games last night (09.09.12).
The 'Paradise' group performed a 15 song set at the closing ceremony of the games at the Olympic Stadium in London.
They group took to the stage with 'Us Against the World' before launching into one of their most recognisable anthems, 'Yellow'.
Later in the set the band - Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion - were joined by Rihanna for their single 'Princess of China'.
After her first guest spot they performed 'Strawberry Swing' with The British Paraorchestra, before Rihanna returned for a rendition of her single 'We Found Love'.
The band then played 'Viva La Vida' before second special guest, Jay-Z, appeared onstage for 'Run This Town', once again accompanied by Rihanna.
Coldplay then closed the show with 'The Scientist' and 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall'.
Before the ceremony, singer Chris had said: "Being asked to play at the Paralympic Closing Ceremony in our home town is a huge honour.
'We can't actually imagine a bigger honour. This will be the biggest night of our lives."
Earlier in the day, hundreds of performers across the UK had joined in with a huge coordinated rendition of 'Vida La Vida' as a bandstand marathon. Performers were encouraged to play the song in their own style, with many brass bands joining in, as well as an Elvis impersonator in Barry, South Wales, and an Afro-Caribbean band in north London.
