Coldplay fans have been warned to watch out for ticket scams when tickets for their anticipated UK tour go on sale tomorrow morning (September 23).
The band will play three dates across the UK in December as part of a wider-reaching European jaunt. Concerns have now been raised by industry insiders after a number fake ticket sites have appeared online.
Ed Parkinson, director of viagogo, told Digital Spy: "When a huge band like Coldplay announces a tour, we immediately see a number of suspicious websites popping up attempting to convince unsuspecting music fans that they can offer tickets to sold out events."
He added: "Over 500,000 consumers were duped by scam sites in the last year so consumers must approach with caution. Check to see whether the website has been endorsed by events or brands that you recognise.
The UK leg kicks off at Glasgow's SECC on December 3, before arriving at Manchester's MEN Arena on December 4 and London's O2 Arena on December 9.
The tour will be the band's first following the release of their new album 'Mylo Xyloto', which is out next month.
The other dates will take place at venues in France, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
Tickets go on sale for all shows on Friday (September 23) at 9am. For more details and to buy Coldplay tickets, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.
