Over 80,000 people were treated to show-stopping performances from some of the biggest names in music today when they turned out to Wembley Stadium for the 95-106 Capital FM Summertime Ball.
COLDPLAY kicked off proceedings with a rocking set of songs including their huge hit Paradise which was followed by a collection of stellar performances from world famous acts KELLY CLARKSON, FLO-RIDA and PITBULL, as well as home-grown UK talent EXAMPLE.
For the first time ever, the show boasted an outstanding 'Breakers' section, which saw performances from some of music's hottest new names such as: LAWSON, COVER DRIVE and CONOR MAYNARD.
US superstar USHER went on to delight fans with renditions of old and new hits such as Climax, Scream and Burn. Then when fans thought it couldn't get any better, RITA ORA took to the stage, and was followed by surprise appearances from DIZZEE RASCAL and CHERYL COLE, leaving the crowd stunned.
THE WANTED, JESSIE J and ED SHEERAN kept the atmosphere electric with performances of some of their huge hits such as Glad You Came, Domino and A-Team. But hysteria really set in when JUSTIN BIEBER sang and danced his way through a spectacular set, as well introducing another special guest performer; CARLY RAE JEPSEN.
The party was bought to an electric close with a set from KATY PERRY, who ended the show with an array of her biggest hits.
In between performing, ED SHEERAN presented a cheque from the proceeds of the event to children from the Teenage Cancer Trust – one of many charities that Help A Capital Child supports throughout the UK.
