Coldplay have entered the UK charts at No.1 with their new album Ghost Stories, which marks the band's sixth UK No.1 album.
The album has knocked Michael Jackson's posthumous Xscape album off the top spot, and is now the fastest selling album of 2014 so far - having sold 168,000 copies since its release on 19 May.
The first single from Ghost Stories, 'Magic', was released in March, whilst the second official single 'A Sky Full Of Stars' was preceded by promotional single 'Midnight.'
Coldplay's debut album, Parachutes, was released in 2000, and has since sold 8.5 million copies across the world.
Elsewhere in the charts, Beautiful South's latest LP reached No.3, Paloma Faith No.4, and the 20th anniversary edition of Oasis's debut album Definitely Maybe completed the top 5.
